As a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist - Respiratory Specialty you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.

AstraZeneca holds a unique position in respiratory disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), with a range of differentiated potential medicines in development by leveraging novel combinations, biologics and devices. The pipeline also has a number of promising assets in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases within areas such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will develop deep product and disease state knowledge, engaging healthcare professionals in meaningful dialogues about clinical evidence and product efficacy. You will independently drive sales performance, ensuring that sales forecasts and budgets meet or exceed expectations. By collaborating with your Commercial Business Director and District Sales Manager, you will craft a local strategy to boost sales in your territory. You will also provide specialized education to healthcare providers, coordinating efforts with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to achieve common objectives.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree
At least two years of documented, full-time, successful pharmaceutical sales OR 3 yrs. sales experience in scientific/clinical/healthcare environment OR demonstrated experience & knowledge within healthcare ecosystems
A valid driver's license and safe driving record
(NOTE – For Internal applicants) Required to have met PSS Level (Level 2) at time of application
Able to travel 10-20% of the time
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of the medical, healthcare or pharmacy industry and skills in clinical
Experience calling on Respiratory Specialist such as Pulmonologist and Allergists
Experience calling on health systems and large group practices
Demonstrated effective leadership, organization and communication skills
Demonstrated judgment and decision-making capability
Be results oriented with demonstrated time management skills
Ability to learn, analyze, understand and convey complex information
Respiratory Sales experience
